My name is Kelsey Miller and I am so excited to be a part of Carolina Parenting Solutions! I am born and raised in the Charlotte area. I am a proud graduate of both Appalachian State and UNC Charlotte, as well as an Americorps alum, having served one year with City Year Detroit.
Through all my experiences, I have remained passionate about working with children and their families. I have over nine years experience working directly with children in Early Childhood Education, and am always honored when I get to be on a team with parents and be a part of helping children learn and grow into strong, independent kiddos. I have had to opportunity to see many different parenting styles and family types, as well as different types of educational philosophies. Across all of these differences I have learned that by working together and focusing on your strengths as a family, while analyzing your child's needs, we can support families through the challenges and help them enjoy these fleeting years of childhood.
Outside of my work, I love to get be outdoors as much as possible. I am currently on a mission with my significant other and my pup to visit/hike at every NC state park. I am also often surrounded by children even in my free time, with 4 young sisters, nieces and cousins galore who I love to spend time with when I can.
