Carolina Parenting Solutions, PLLC
My name is Katie Black and I am delighted to be working with children and families at Carolina Parenting Solutions. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minored in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Then I went on to earn my Master of Social Work degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have experience working with children and families in a variety of settings including in-home therapy, outpatient therapy, schools, and residential facilities.
I am passionate about children and families and the journey they experience both as family and individually. When working with families, I utilize a strengths-based approach to empower families and build upon their natural strengths to overcome obstacles. My approach is holistic, personalized, and supported by evidence-based practices and research to address the unique needs of every child and family.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, running, playing the piano, exploring the outdoors, and crafting. I am grateful and eager to meet you all!
