“Parenting is the easiest thing in the world to have an opinion about, but the hardest thing in the world to do.” -- Matt Walsh
Parenting is the most important and challenging job one can have. It can be rewarding and joyful at times and full of heartache and frustration at other times. As a part of the Carolina Parenting Solutions team, I am passionate about helping families discover and/or reconnect with their strengths and feel good about their family experience.
I am continuously humbled by the courage of families to invite a stranger into their home. I will always respect and honor this privilege, and in so doing I will learn just as much as I teach. My greatest professional accomplishment is helping families understand and appreciate their children in a new way. With mutual trust and hard work we can accomplish significant, positive change.
I live in Fort Mill, SC with my wonderful husband of 20 years and our three beautiful teenagers. We have two silly but adorable dogs. I love small town Fort Mill next to big city Charlotte. I grew up on a farm in Virginia, so the sight of horses in a field calms me. I attended college and graduate school in NC, where I lived for over 20 years. We moved to Columbia, SC in 2004 before moving to Fort Mill in 2009. My greatest joy is the blessing of my amazing family, whom I cherish. I look forward to meeting you and your amazing family.
“When my kids become wild and unruly, I use a nice, safe playpen. When they’re finished, I climb out.” - Erma Bombeck
