Hi! My name is Sharika Mcfadden. My journey to helping families started as a daycare worker, substitute teacher, and then certified special education teacher which lead to many years of supporting and assisting families. I love what I do and I feel with creativity, a sprinkle of nurturance, and links to community resources families can overcome many issues they face.

I am a licensed professional counselor supervisor, certified sex offender treatment specialist, certified special education teacher, trained and pursuing national certification in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. With Over 20 years of experience working with children and families in areas ranging from support services (both in home and the community), foster care, special education, teaching, advocacy, parenting, family, and group skill building activities. I have years of trainer and supervisor experience in FCT (Family Centered Treatment), TASK (Treatment alternatives for sexualized kids), Intensive InHome, and ACTT (Assertive Community Treatment Team) service deliveries.

I take pleasure in working with children that others may have given up on to install hope, equip them with tools to manage obstacles, and create small successes. I believe that utilizing the individual's natural system, including their community, family, schools, and peers provides those individuals the opportunity to make lasting changes that will impact their quality of life. Positive parenting is important. I will work to train and empower families to respond and nurture their children to uncover success.
