I began working with young children and their families in 2008 and immediately fell in love with this work. I enjoy seeing the change that occurs in young children so quickly as they grow and develop. I also find joy in the relationships that develop with parents as we work together to help their children. I’ve always known that parenting IS the toughest job a person can have, but recently I became a parent myself and now I REALLY KNOW parenting is the toughest job! I believe that it takes a lot of courage for a parent to seek help for their child when they are struggling, and my goal is to work as a team with parents to create solutions for their child and family. The relationship between parent and child is the foundation for all development, so much of the work I do is within the context of that relationship. It is an honor for me to be allowed into your home and to work together with you to increase the joy in your family.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have worked in multiple settings, such as pre-schools, public schools, homes, office settings and a Child Advocacy Center. The majority of the work I have done is with children ages 0-5 and their families. I have also had the privilege of working with people of all ages in an Outpatient setting. I am an Infant Mental Health Specialist and am trained in a variety of different approaches to work with children and families and I continue to learn and grow as a therapist to best serve you and your family.
My husband and I relocated to Charlotte in the Spring of 2013 from Florida and we are so glad we did! In my down time, I love spending time with my family and friends and enjoying the outdoors.
