My name is Ashley Schlieper, and I have recently graduated with my Master’s in Social Work, and am working toward receiving my LCSW over the next year. Working with young children and their families is a passion of mine. The first few years of a child’s life is critical to their social, emotional, and physical development, and it is fulfilling for me to play a part in helping families find a healthy and happy attachment, while working directly with the children through play to improve their overall development.

 I am a very compassionate and caring professional, who gives every family I work with the utmost respect and unconditional kindness. I enjoy learning about the unique stories that each family holds, and using their strengths to improve the overall equilibrium within the family unit. My sense of humor allows me to really bond with children and families, while making it easy for young children to feel comfortable playing and building a trusting relationship.

My experience includes work with 0-8 year olds in a variety of settings, providing a comfortable play environment, and working with children with developmental disabilities as well as those with behavioral challenges. Having a child with a disability presents families with a variety of barriers and challenges. While working with Carolina Parenting Solutions, PLLC, I have created a passion for helping families come to terms with these added challenges. I enjoy working together, with the families, to find the most beneficial ways to help everyone cope, while improving the overall functioning of the child.

In my free time I am an avid outdoor lover, spending weekends camping and hiking with my husband Rick, and two dogs, Rocky and Lucy. We also enjoy sports, and spending time with family. We are Panthers fans and hope that wearing our Jersey’s every Sunday helps us win. This has yet to be successful. J GO PANTHERS!
